#945: french Stereo card: enema burlesque

An early French stereo card lampooning the obsession by French nobility with enemas. An oversized pewter clyster is prominently displayed. The card consists of two albumen prints mounted side by side. In good condition noting light soiling here and there and a small spot of chipping on the lower left corner of the card. Measuring 3 3/8" x 6 7/8", the card fits typical Holmes-type stereo viewers and shows good three dimensional effect.  ca 1860    $125
